1050km Solo Ride for a Well
The Munda Biddi Trail
“My wife Clare and her grandmother recently donated $5k to Water For Africa to provide clean drinking water for those who desperately need it. When I saw photos of the village celebrating the commissioning of their newly installed well, it gave me the inspiration and willingness to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of people in need.
Raising the money required to install a well is not going to be an easy feat and so any challenge I was to set myself, needed to live up to the task. Something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the drive or the courage to do previously, is ride the worlds longest continuous off-road cycling track which just so happens to be in our very own backyard here in Perth! The Munda Biddi Trail is 1050km stretching between Mundaring and Albany which I’m aiming to do solo in 3 weeks. My training begins now so I can be fit and ready when I depart from Mundaring in April 2022 and I’d be honoured if you would all support me on this journey.
We don’t even bat an eyelid spending $5 on a coffee or $50 on a carton of beer so I’m sure we can put our money together to save lives and make a difference. No matter how small the donation, no matter who you are, together we can make a difference. 30% of people in this world don’t have access to clean drinking water resulting in the death of millions of people each year. We can reduce this statistic. Lets go!”
Thanks for your support
