Sustainable Farm
Nestled in rural Tanzania is our 40 acre farming project. Developing an initiative for sustainability has always been a key component at Water for Africa. During the last few years, 34 acres of avocados and 6 acres of macadamia nut trees have been planted under a ‘not for profit’ structure with a long term goal to produce a harvest that will give clean water. This project ensures clean drinking water is given to new communities and our existing water projects are maintained for years to come.
The development and ongoing maintenance of the farm has greatly impacted the surrounding local communities through employment and skills training. It has become a thriving community where individual lives and families have been empowered towards a brighter future.
All donations to this project will enable local employment, growth and success of this project.
